Make a Change are hosting a webinar focusing on the topic of proactive contact with survivors of domestic abuse within Integrated Support Services.
Drawing on the experiences of a range of speakers, we will consider some of the advantages, complexities and challenges of this approach. We will also have space for practitioners and other attendees to discuss their own experiences, followed by a Q&A session at the end.
Speakers will include:
- Jo Todd, is the founding CEO of Respect. As CEO at Respect for 20 years, Jo has been at the forefront of the development of safe, effective, accountable practice and influencing public policy to ensure better responses to perpetrators that put the survivor at the heart.
- Becky Rogerson, JP, MBE, is the Director of Wearside Women in Need (WWiN), a specialist domestic abuse service providing a range of accommodation and community based services across Wearside.
- Aarti Popat is the Senior Partner Support worker at the Jenkins centre, she supports all partners/ex-partners of service users engaging in the perpetrator programmes. Prior to this she facilitated intervention programmes for 7 years. She has been fortunate to have worked on both sides and have skills and knowledge with working with perpetrators and supporting victims.
- Anonymous for her own safety, expert by experience
