Respect’s annual impact report for 2023/24 charts the first year of our five-year strategy, and looks forward to what comes next. As it publishes today, we’re reflecting on how much has been achieved.
In 2023/24:
- We launched Stopping the Harm, our 2023-28 strategy, which sets out Respect's approach and ambitions and reaffirms the charity’s focus on perpetrators of domestic abuse.
- We laid vital groundwork to increase our fundraising capacity and diversify our funding streams, and developed and tested plans to create a Centre for Excellence.
- We continued our work on the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, establishing this as a foundational part of our approach that is integrated across Respect’s priorities.
- We continued to support and respond to our members and other practitioners across the perpetrator response sector, including providing 79 one-to-one expert advice sessions.
- We grew our influence and collaborated to amplify front-line voices, bringing sector colleagues together at roundtable meetings and giving evidence to Parliament.
- Our helplines continued to offer nationwide support to male victims, and to perpetrators looking to change. On International Men’s Day, we highlighted the ways we prioritise inclusion, with partnerships that support people who are deaf, hard of hearing, speech-impaired or prefer to communicate in another language.
- Our projects continued to innovate and implement meaningful opportunities to change for perpetrators of domestic abuse and young people who cause harm.
We’re grateful to everyone who collaborated with us on this chapter. Take a look at the report to find out more.
