Before joining Respect, she spent over 25 years in the Primary Education sector across a range of settings as a teacher, Lead Practitioner, and subsequently within Primary School Senior Leadership.

In her time as Senior Mental Health Lead, she implemented re-imagined approaches to Attachment Trauma and Mental Health across her organisation to work directly with families and young people impacted by trauma - training staff in Team Teach de-escalation techniques.

As part of her role, she successfully created and delivered training across a broad range of ATMH, safeguarding and mental health topics including neurodivergent affirming approaches and toxic stress awareness. Designing new reflective practice systems, she pioneered the creation of successful physical and psychological safety within the school environment – having direct personal involvement with families with lived experiences of domestic abuse, in her role as DSL.

After gaining accreditation in ATMH change management, she applied her coaching and mentoring experience to further support a broad range of adult learners across a wide remit of topics - using case studies and lived experiences to contextualise content.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her three grown up children and decorating celebration cakes.
