Dr James Rowlands is an Assistant Professor in Sociology at Durham University. James previously trained as a Social Worker and an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) and has worked in a range of frontline, strategic and policy roles in the domestic abuse sector.
James set up the first advocacy service for gay, bisexual and heterosexual men in Wales (the Dyn Project) and his research is focused on Domestic Homicide / Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews.
