Lucy joined the Respect Board in 2022 as Treasurer when Chief Operating Officer for National Zakat Foundation, a charity distributing grants to those in need in the UK.  Lucy has been working in the charity sector for the last 15 years, in charities of different sizes and scopes, in a range of roles and with specialism in Finance and Governance

I’ve become increasingly aware of the impact of domestic violence and was attracted by Respect’s mission to tackle the problem at its roots, by working with perpetrators.

Having been a member of senior management in a charity of similar size, and now consulting for charities, I’m used to considering what Trustees need to hear from management to be able to carry out the Trustee role well.
 
So it seemed a good fit for me to engage with Respect as a Trustee.
