Respect has been a proud Safe & Together partner agency since 2019, when the project was first established in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Waltham Forest.
Since then, Respect has been awarded MOPAC funding via the Home Office to continue implementation and expand into three further boroughs: Newham, Tower Hamlets and Redbridge.
Respect has been:
- Providing an Implementation Lead to help embed the model in the participating boroughs.
- Delivering Overview and CORE trainings for children’s services professionals.
- Helping practitioners to consistently apply the model to their practice
- Monitoring the progress of the project via ongoing case file audits and by evaluating social care data.
This landmark ‘systems change’ project is designed to improve the way children’s services and partner agencies respond to domestic abuse and engage with perpetrators, and to provide better support and protection for adult and child survivors.
